A Tasty History
Sheldon's Bakery, Established October 2001

Sheldon's Pasties & Bakery is named for Sheldon Narhi-a life-long baker. He worked at the old Crown and Parkside Bakeries in Houghton, Publix Grocery & Bakery in Florida, and in the Festival Foods Bakery in Houghton.

While at Festival Foods, Sheldon developed his pasty recipe based on customer input. As the pasties got better, Sheldon's reputation grew. Sheldon dreamed of opening his own pasty shope and dicussed it many times with his son, Roy. Finally, in October of 2001, Roy & Denise Narhi and their five children moved from Cokato, Minnesota to Atlantic Mine. Together with Sheldon & Eda Narhi, they opened Sheldon's Pasties & Bakery.
